Last year, over 600 of San Diego’s community members, outdoor enthusiasts, and business leaders joined in this celebration of the outdoors.

For Chaos Headgear, the connection between youth and the outdoors, and the pursuit of life changing experiences outside are important elements of the brand’s goals, hence the support of programs like, Outdoor Outreach. Having the right gear in the pursuit of adventure and personal challenges makes for more comforting and long lasting memories.

Chris Rutgers the founder of Outdoor Outreach, knows this is so; as a former extreme skier and avid climber his gear ensured his success. Through the program he shows youth that experiencing personal challenges in the outdoors and in the elements can help heal the heart and soul from the inside out against life’s trials.

Through Rutgers and OO, Chaos has worked with Jesse Delgado, an OO alum and semi-pro snowboarder, as our Outdoor Outreach liaison and ambassador. Delgado describes what this fundraiser means to Outdoor Outreach and what the programs have meant to him, ” Outdoor Outreach’s “Reach the peak” race, is our biggest fundraiser of the year and a perfect opportunity to give back to your community while getting outdoors with your family and having a blast! This years event is jam packed with prizes from our incredible sponsors, Chaos Headwear, REI, Smith Optics, the North Face and Zoic to name a few. Help support youth like me to become successful young adults and have fun while doing it!”-Jesse Delgado. Leadership program graduate and Chaos athlete.
