Denver, CO – Outdoor Industry Association is focused on outdoor participation and climate change during the 2020 Outdoor + Snow Show with two key announcements and discussions on issues with direct impact to the outdoor recreation industry and economy. Outdoor Participation Report Announcement:

Outdoor Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), will release the latest Outdoor Participation Report during an OIA Industry Lunch panel, titled: Is America becoming an indoor nation?

Introduction of the Climate Action Corps:

OIA will announce the Climate Action Corps, a program that will enable any brand, manufacturer or supplier — regardless of size or internal resources — to take a real, immediate, proactive and individualized approach to shrinking its own greenhouse gas footprint. This will be the industry’s most collaborative model for alignment, action and accountability to achieve emission reductions in accordance with IPCC guidelines.
