Outdoor Research Announces Christian Folk as New PR Coordinator

Outdoor Research, manufacturer of functional solutions for human powered adventure, today announced that Christian Folk has been hired in the role of Public Relations Coordinator. While Christian officially starts in the position on November 3, 2008 he has worked at Outdoor Research for the past 2 years.

His key responsibilities will include: acting as the primary contact for all events sponsored by Outdoor Research, including Ouray Ice Fest, Red Rock Rendezvous, Banff Film Festival, and VertFest. Folk will also work closely with JAM Media Collective, Outdoor Research’s longtime PR Partner, as the internal Public Relations contact. Another key responsibility will be maintaining athlete relationships across OR’s core sports.

Folk comes to this role with years of experience in the Outdoor Industry. His background includes significant core sport involvement, working as a sea kayak guide and skills instructor for over 10 years, serving in the role of Sales Specialist at the Outdoor Retail Store, and most recently as Customer Service Admin within the customer service department at Outdoor Research.
