Outdoor Research, manufacturer of functional solutions for human powered adventure, has launched VertiCulture – www.outdoorresearch.com/verticulture, where outdoor adventurists can find fuel for their passions through inspiring stories, informative articles, and a calendar of outdoor events from the Outdoor Research community of employees, product testers and ambassadors.

“So many members of our community have great stories, photos and videos to share. We built the VertiCulture site to provide a dynamic platform to broadcast these stories to other outdoor explorers,” said Alex Kutches, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Outdoor Research.

The site features three main sections: Articles, The Collective and Events.

In Articles, visitors will find outdoor adventure essays and news with new content being posted regularly to continue fueling inspiration for human powered adventure. Currently featured articles include a 10-minute video on becoming an American Mountain Guide by IFMGA guide Martin Volken. OR Ambassador Blake Herrington recounts his Mendenhall Towers Expedition in Juneau, Alaska, through text, photos and video. Brand Ambassador Margot Talbot shares thoughtful insights on her life as a climber in “Why climb?” along with scenic photos from recent climbs.

The Collective is home to three sections: the IFMGA Test Team page, Connectors and Ambassadors page and the 2203 page, named after the address of OR’s headquarters at 2203 1st Avenue South in Seattle. Each of these pages shows content contributed by these three distinct groups that make up the foundation of Outdoor Research’s core community.

The IFMGA Test Team is a group of internationally certified guides of the highest caliber,” said Kutches. “Their jobs take them to amazing places. Beyond leading clients and testing products, they return with some incredible stories that inspire us all for our next adventure.”

The 2203 page showcases a collection of stories and news from the people behind the brand and the product that work at 2203 1st Ave S, in Seattle, Washington.

“We are very fortunate to have a passionate group of employees here at OR,” said Charles Lozner, Director of Marketing. “Whether out climbing, skiing or volunteering for a local non-profit, the stories from our employees help the greater community better understand what OR stands for.”

The Events section provides a calendar of upcoming events that OR is taking part in. Visitors can click through to get specific details about each event listing.

“We’re excited to invite outdoor adventurers to check out Verticulture and explore all of the places OR products have accompanied our core community members,” added Kutches.
