Outdoor Retailer and Malakye.com to Host Outdoor Industry Job Fair

Ever willing to have a sense of humor about itself while doing business, the first “ShmoozaPalooza,” an open-to-the-public Winter Market job fair, will be hosted by Outdoor Retailer (OR) and Malakye.com.

The one-day event, held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 21 at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown, will connect hopeful outdoor industry job seekers with a range of premier outdoor hard good, apparel, accessory and retail businesses – all with active job openings.



“There’s no better way to breathe life into a resume than with a personal interaction,” said Kenji Haroutunian, vice president at Nielsen Expositions and OR show director. “With the help of Malakye.com, we’ve rallied an enviable list of potential employers. For the right applicant, this event could be the foot-in-the-door opportunity they need to break into the outdoor and lifestyle industries.”

Several dozen positions are currently available with participating employers such as Amer Sports, Backcountry.com, Black Diamond, ENVE Composites, GU Energy, OGIO, Petzl and Specialized.

There is no charge to attend the event; however, applicants are encouraged to register in advance by submitting their resume to Malakye.com, a leading resource for outdoor and lifestyle career opportunities and industry information.
