American Adventure Sports is finally closing OR with many sponsors to follow up for commitment after the show. We’d say we had a pretty successful last two days pulling in another committed $30,000+ worth of gear.

Official Lightweight Safety Gear: Adventure Medical Kits

Adventure Medical Kits (AMK) is dedicated to bringing you the most innovative products which will keep you safe in the outdoors. We rely on their expertise of world authorities in wilderness medicine and survival techniques to offer our clients only the lightest weight safety on the market.AMK will be sponsoring the North American Adventure Racing Series with a few different products to showcase to our athletes and consumers. They will be providing The Ultralight/Water Tight .7 Medical Kit. Originally developed for multi-sport adventure racers, This kit has become standard gear in just about any adventurer’s pack. AMK will also be providing Escape bivvy’s combining breath-ability, body heat retain-ability and water resistance for the most fully-featured back country emergency shelter in the SOL line along with the SOL Emergency Blanket, all of which are staples in any adventure racers pack! All and all AMK will have around $3,000 worth of gear as part of the SWAG pack at NAARS Prestige races.

Sherpa Adventure Gear: Official Outfitter

Sherpa Adventure Gear was founded in 2003 by Tashi Sherpa, who was inspired to start the company when he discovered that his uncle was one of the Sherpa on Sir Edmund Hilary’s celebrated, first-ever expedition to the summit of Mount Everest.
In 1953, Sherpa Adventure Gear—which manufacturers apparel for mountain and Outdoor adventures—honors the unsung Sherpa heroes who make high altitude Himalayan climbs possible by carrying the loads, laying ropes, and guiding the way.
Sherpa athlete‐ambassadors test and help design Sherpa Adventure Gear products, most of which are manufactured in Nepal. The company employs over 150 people in Nepal, and in 2009, furthered its local commitment when it opened its downtown Kathmandu headquarters, which houses it’s offices, a flagship store and The Terrace Bed and Breakfast. Two more stores opened in 2010, in Namche and Pokhara, Nepal. The company’s marketing, sales and North American distribution is based in Renton, Washington. Sherpa Adventure Gear gives back to the Sherpa community through its Paldorje Education Fund. A portion of every sale funds educational and social initiatives,such as providing scholarships to deserving Sherpa children.

The company will be providing TeamSOG and the North American Adventure Racing Series with an assortment of products in order to showcase their full line. Along with this great news, American Adventure Sports and Gnarly Crew Media are working with Sherpa to help raise brand awareness on the East Coast. Sherpa Adventure Gear hones its focus for Fall ’13 on technical apparel worthy of the unsung Sherpa heroes that make high altitude ascents possible. The Khangri Alpine Series is the pinnacle of the company’s apparel line, with essential products intended for core alpine, ice and high altitude climbers and committed mountain enthusiasts. Sea To Summit is a worldwide manufacturer of high quality outdoor, backpacking and travel products and accessories. Sea to Summit manufactures and distributes products for camping, hiking, climbing, backpacking, traveling and many more outdoor activities. So if you are looking for storage sacks, sleeping bag liners, dry sacks, camp kitchen gear, paddling gear, compression sacks, hats or tons of other gear this is the place to start.
The company will be providing about $2,000 worth of dry sacks for The North American Adventure Racing Series and TeamSOG. The company will provide a range of ultra-lightweight dry sacks to save those crucial few grams. Using a 15 denier Sil/PU nylon fabric we call Ultra-Sil® Nano, a lightweight side release buckle and a thinner roll top closure we have created a dry sack that is 30% lighter than our standard 30 D Ultra-Sil® Dry Sacks! The company will also be providing the team their newest product the clear stopper dry bag.

Nikwax: The Official Aftercare

Nikwax Waterproofing is committed to addressing the challenges of sustainable development and operating as a responsible company. Nikwax strives towards sustainability by integrating and balancing economic, environmental and social responsibilities within all activities. Recent new product developments include Softshell proof, UV Proof, Spray-on applications for Fabric and Leather and Nubuck and Suede proofer, plus new product formulations to enhance performance in hard water areas. The company will be providing about $1,500 in sample products to distribute throughout the NAARS and for TeamSOG and it’s ambassadors to put to the test.
