SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA, April 27, 2015—Outdoor Retailer, the premier trade event featuring the best of the outdoor recreation market, including industry manufacturers and top retail buyers, was selected to participate in the 2015 International Buyer Program (IBP) by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2015 will benefit from the active recruiting of overseas buyers from Commercial Service and partner posts around the world by IBP personnel.
The IBP is a joint government-industry effort under the jurisdiction of the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration (ITA). The IBP will maintain an official international trade center at OR Summer Market, where foreign buyers can obtain assistance in identifying potential business partners, and meet with U.S. companies to negotiate and close deals.
“By working closely with Outdoor Retailer, the IBP is crafting a variety of value-added services and business matchmaking events for exhibitors at the show. These complimentary services are designed to assist U.S. exhibitors identify new overseas opportunities in order to grow their export business,” Dustin Ross, IBP Project Officer.
This program is an excellent business opportunity for U.S. brands to meet, network, and develop business partnerships with international buyers, sales representatives, and strategic partners. U.S. exhibitors at Outdoor Retailer are encouraged to register for free to be a part of the Export Interest Directory, that will be distributed to international buyers prior to and onsite at Outdoor retailer. Exhibitors can identify regions of interest for exporting.
By participating in the Export Interest Directory, companies will receive a copy of any leads that result from the international attendee matchmaking program and will have the opportunity to participate in a number of complimentary services offered through the IBP, such as export market counseling.

On show site, Outdoor Retailer exhibitors can take advantage of interpreter services and face-to-face export counseling from overseas U.S. Commercial Service representatives accompanying the visiting buyer delegations from countries worldwide.
