Hendersonville, NC – Outdoor Sports Marketing will challenge what retailers and vendors expect from their representative agencies. To proactively achieve this goal, OSM invested in a unique and advantageous business structure that repositions the team to be a more productive, collaborative and engaged resource for customers.
“Nolan and I worked to make deliberate changes to our business to secure the opportunities we all recognize we have today, and be prepared for the future,” said Rion Smith, co-owner of OSM. “This investment is a realization of a fully staffed business structure we envisioned when we formed our partnership almost ten years ago.”
OSM divided their nine state southeast territory into three smaller, market focused regions. An apparel and accessory lead as well as a hardgoods and footwear sales professional, accountable to each territory, will bring diverse sales, inventory management, events, marketing and merchandising skills to their customer’s business.
The investment in differentiating Apparel/Accessory and Hardgoods/Footwear teams focuses OSM’s Sales Representatives’ efforts and experience, aligning the business units to the sales and service cycles of their respective categories.
“Customers will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple members of our team, offering fresh eyes and new insights into their business,” said Nolan Davis, co-owner of OSM.
Chuck Millsaps, Minister of Culture and co-owner of Great Outdoor Provision Co, a Grassroots Outdoor Alliance member based in Raleigh NC, endorses the new structure. “Our growth with OSM reflects the agency’s keen ability to adapt to market changes. OSM’s new business units provide key support for the creative energy we bring to outdoor retail,” said Millsaps.
In addition, OSM’s sales force reorganization is supported by a full office team of unparalleled experience. CRM implementation, accounting, budget allocation, order management, new business development and showroom merchandising are some of the tasks removed from the Sales force and managed by the five member office team.
