Seattle, WA – For the second time in the last 5 years, Outside Magazine has recognized Industrial Revolution on its list of “100 Best Places to Work.” The Washington-based manufacturer and distributor of innovative outdoor accessories such as UCO Candle Lanterns, Light My Fire camp kitchen products and YayLabs! Ice Cream Balls ranked 88th on the list. Now in its sixth year, the “100 Best Places to Work” list honors companies that promote a healthy work-life balance.

“People make the difference,” says Graeme Esarey, Industrial Revolution’s Director of Marketing and Product Development. “Our mission is to make great products and have fun doing it, and everyone here pitches in to make that possible. We spend a lot time and energy every year trying to figure out how to make Industrial Revolution a great place. We’re honored to have been recognized for our efforts again.”

Among the perks offered to Industrial Revolution’s 21 employees are a $5,000 annual education allowance and a location in Washington’s Puget Sound region. Employees have the opportunity to monitor the company’s green practices regardless of their position. Each year, Industrial Revolution donates to environmental causes such as the Pacific Crest Trail Association, Leave No Trace, Big City Mountaineers and the European Outdoor Conservation Association.

“100 Best Places To Work” honorees are selected with the input of the Outdoor Industry Association and Best Companies Group. Through a yearlong process, the selection committee surveys employees to collect data on a range of criteria from benefits and compensation to community involvement. The responses are analyzed to determine the list of honorees.
