OutsidePR Expands Account Team

Sausalito, Calif., January 22, 2019 – Bay Area-based public relations and sports marketing agency, OutsidePR, is pleased to announce the hiring of Anna Avery to their growing roster of communications specialists.

Anna joins the OutsidePR team with an abundance of experience within professional, collegiate, and Olympic sport organizations. A Texas native, she began working in sports in Austin while attending St. Edward’s University. After graduating with a degree in communications and working with several Austin teams, including the Austin Spurs (NBA G-League) and the University of Texas Longhorns, she made her way to her hometown of San Antonio. Anna was a communications assistant for the WNBA San Antonio Stars for year before taking a position in Colorado Springs, Colo. with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).

While with the USOC, Anna coordinated interviews with athletes; coordinated media requests; wrote quotes, press releases and media advisories; and traveled to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games where she coordinated and managed press conferences. After her time with Team USA, Anna jumped to the west coast, working with Oakland A’s public relations and communications staff for a short stint before accepting a position as a communications coordinator at the University of San Francisco athletic department.

At OutsidePR, Anna will serve as a senior account executive and support media outreach for Title Nine and Mammut.
