Overland Equipment Appoints Sales and Brand Development Manager

Overland Equipment, manufacturer of bags that provide well-organized solutions for active, everyday use, is pleased to announce it has named Megan McGovern as Sales and Brand Development Manager. In this newly formed position, McGovern will work to increase Overland Equipment brand awareness, generate new business, and support the existing wholesale business.

“Overland Equipment is experiencing exciting growth and it’s the right time to bring sales leadership to our team to help drive the business,” said Julie Skirving of Overland Equipment. “Megan is uniquely talented for this role and our brand and we are thrilled to have her join our team.”

For the past nine years, McGovern has worked in sales and marketing for consumer products (PowerBar, The Kellogg’s Company, Kraft Foods), online media agencies, and most recently sales for Adventure 16.

“I’m thrilled about this opportunity to bring Overland Equipment to the next level,” said McGovern. “We have a unique product offering that provides organizational solutions for consumers, and this winning combo has a positive effect on the retailer’s bottom line.”

McGovern serves on the Board of Directors in a marketing and communication capacity for the Outdoor Industry Women’s Coalition, a membership community of professionals in the outdoor industries. “Match your passion with your profession” was the perfect expression that led her into the outdoor industry. Off the clock, Megan enjoys scuba diving, hiking, skiing, triathlons, and volleyball.
