OverLand Equipment Opens First Retail Store in Portland, Oregon

After over 30 years manufacturing versatile bags for active lifestyles, OverLand Equipment will open its first retail store in Portland, Oregon on Thursday, May 2. Located in Portland’s up-and-coming Pearl District, the store will carry OverLand’s full range of products, ranging from shoulder bags to laptop bags to backpacks, wallets and pouches.
“We’re excited about being able to bring products directly to customers through our retail store,” says Dave Bartels, OverLand Equipment’s General Manager. “Now is the right time and Portland is the right place to showcase the style and function of our bags and accessories in a storefront operation. We think we’re going to fit right in in the Pearl District.”
Known for their thoughtful design, lightweight, water-resistant fabric and outstanding durability, OverLand Equipment bags bridge the gap between function and style, bringing an urban sensibility to features such as adjustable straps, inner sleeves and pockets and hidden compartments.
To celebrate the store’s opening, visitors are welcome to an all-day reception with coffee, tea, cheese and crackers and fruit. The first 20 visitors to the store will receive a free small wallet. There will be additional giveaways throughout the day.
