Former Coleman VP tapped to lead rapidly expanding rugged-appliance brand
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 5, 2017) – OXX Inc., manufacturer of the heralded COFFEEBOXX ultra-rugged coffeemaker, is proud to announce the hiring of Kent Brown as the brand’s new CEO and president.
A 25-year veteran of the consumer-durables industry, Brown comes to OXX from iconic outdoor-gear manufacturer Coleman, where he served as vice president of sales, trade marketing, and retail. Prior to Coleman, Brown held management positions at TruSouth Oil, Hopkins Manufacturing Corporation, Radio Systems Corporation, and Newell Brands.
“As the first builder of exceptionally tough appliances designed for use outside of the home, OXX pioneered the rugged-appliance category,” says Brown. “I’m honored to be trusted to lead this vibrant brand into an exciting future.
