Paddling Icon Danny Mongno to Join Team Kokatat

ARCATA, CALIFORNIA, (May 7, 2013)— As a brand, Kokatat has a long and storied history of sponsoring paddling’s most influential and iconic athletes. Now, the brand proudly welcomes paddling instructor and Werner ambassador Danny Mongno to Team Kokatat.
Mongno has been heavily involved in the world of paddle sports since his introduction to kayaking at the age of 18. Although Mongno’s childhood dream of becoming a classroom teacher didn’t pan out in the traditional sense, Mongno, now 40, travels the world teaching clinics that help athletes improve their paddling skills.
While an accomplished and multi-faceted paddler, it is Mongno’s industry experience that adds another level of expertise and capabilities to an already powerful athlete program. A full time Werner Paddles employee, Mongno’s industry experience lends him a deeper and refreshing understanding of the industry’s inner-workings.
