Pursuing its commitment to provide the latest in eyewear innovation, Panoptx, a leader in high-performance eyewear for marine, motorcycle, optical and snow sport channels, is expanding its successful Velocity Series, designed for the versatile sports enthusiast, with the introduction of the Bora and Churada. Specifically, these two new styles feature re-styled temple designs, and replace the popular Raptor and Sirocco, respectively. Additionally, Panoptx is extending the Transmission Value (TV) range, the complete scope of visibility, of its most popular riding lens, PureTecâ„¢ Photochromic Day/Night, with the High Noon Eyecup.
The Bora and Churada retain Panoptx’ patented eyecup technology featuring a multi-material eyecup that provides a complete shield from harmful light and glare with foam-lined vents to filter out irritants. With the removable eyecup in place, there’s no practical limit to how fast the user can go without tearing or blinking. Bora’s revamped temple has sleek lines accented by a raised edge that underlies the distinctive metal badging, a Panoptx hallmark. The Bora best suits larger faces and is available in Dark Tortoise, Glossy Black and Charcoal, MSRP: $125.00-$250.00. Prices vary according to lens.

Churada will feature a fresh temple visual with asymmetric metal badging and a scalloped cut for a cross-gender appeal. It is available in Brown Crystal, Dark Tortoise, and Glossy Black, MSRP: $125.00-$250.00. Prices vary by lens.
“Our advanced frame and lens technology combination enables consumers to do what they love longer, more effectively and in greater comfort,†said Jackson Hogen, vice president of marketing, research and development. “For the 2007 line, we’ve tweaked the technology and added unique detailing resulting in an updated contemporary look. With more fashion elements and additional performance features, we are broadening our appeal and bringing more customers into the Panoptx family.â€
Additionally, Panoptx will soon deliver the High Noon Eyecup, intended for use with Panoptx’ most popular lens, the PureTecâ„¢ Photochromic Day/Night. The copper-tinted High Noon Eyecup was developed for light-sensitive eyes that need a darker lens in full sun. Prior to the evolution of this product, the Day/Night lens only darkened to a light gray shade during peak sun hours. Now, the High Noon Eyecup drops the bottom of the TV range to about 12%, equivalent to the same range as a standard dark gray lens. MSRP: $35.00.
