Pearl Izumi RUN Launches All-New Ambassador Program for 2015

LOUISVILLE, Colo. (Feb. 2, 2015)—Pearl Izumi, maker of ride, run and triathlon performance apparel that empowers athletes to perform better 365 days a year, has launched a national Run365 Champion ambassador team.
In selecting the 2015 Pearl Izumi Brand Champions, Pearl Izumi was in search of a team of people who are inclusive and inspiring to everyone who runs and to those that call themselves runners. The team currently consists of over 250 road and trail-running enthusiasts who represent 36 U.S. States and Puerto Rico.
“The 2015 Pearl Izumi Run Champions are our newest athletes and brand ambassadors. The team consists of the runner who is able to squeeze in a few miles a few times a week, to the ultrarunner who is training for the next big endurance race. We have cast a wider net to show runners nationwide that Pearl Izumi products make it possible to run at any time, in any weather, 365 days a year,” said Emelie Ortiz, head of global brand marketing at Pearl Izumi Run.
The Champions will act as an ambassador army that will hit the pavement at a local level, supporting dealers and sales reps as a piece of Pearl Izumi’s Run365 initiative. They will host Pearl Izumi’s trademark fun runs, demos, and represent Pearl Izumi on the road and trails.
Pearl Izumi has opened up the application process again today, Feb. 2, in an effort to have Champions in all 50 states. New Champions, selected after the February application process, will be activated starting in April of 2015. To celebrate, Pearl Izumi will be giving away one pair shoes per week from its E:Motion Trail collection on its global Facebook page, Pearl Izumi Run.
Be on the look out for the Champion team sporting Pearl Izumi’s newest E:Motion N3, its highest cushion neutral road running shoe, which is set to launch at retail in March 2015.
