ANNECY, FRANCE (Tuesday, September 24, 2019) – Picture Organic Clothing and Almo Films proudly introduce the trailer for their new film, Shelter. Featuring Jeremy Jones, Leo Taillefer, Thomas Delfino and friends, the movie will play at select retailers and theaters in the US throughout the month of October, with the digital release taking place in December.

Armed with their climbing skins and a healthy dose of curiosity, the film follows the five friends as they embark on a human-powered journey exploring the mountains, valleys, and huts of the Alps, with the historic guidance and tale-telling of local Valais legend, Serge. With five decades of guiding under his belt, Serge embodies the soul of this alpine region. But more than anything else, he is an eyewitness to the staggering recent changes the mountains have endured as a result of climate change. Grueling ascents lead to rewarding descents on remote, open faces, while evening discussions address what can be done to preserve these beautiful landscapes we love.

“As outdoor adventurers and world travelers, we know that many of our own actions have contributed to climate change,” said Julien Durant, Picture Co-Founder. “Our hope is that we can open the conversation to examine our lifestyles and find ways in which we can still pursue our outdoor passions while reducing our carbon footprint.”

Following the success of last year’s highly acclaimed, Zabardast, the docu-style adventure film will premier in the US on October 9 at the Ski Monster in Boston, with 12 other US stops to follow.

“We’re stoked to kick off the Shelter US tour at The Ski Monster,” says Matt Berkowitz, The Ski Monster (TSM) Brand Director. “Not only will it be a great way to get people fired up for the ski season, but also a great opportunity to support Protect our Winters and raise awareness for climate change. It just made sense to us because TSM, Picture, and many of our amazing customers are progressively aligned in a lot of ways.”

Proceeds from ticket sales will go to Protect Our Winters and carbon offsets will be purchased by Picture to compensate for the travel of athletes attending the screenings.
