HONG KONG, April 2013 – Big Agnes Shoestring SL 22 Sleeping Bag was named Best Synthetic Sleeping Bag in the Backpacker’s Gear Guide 2013, and the Gear Guide 2013 credits the new Pinneco Core® technology.
Backpacker’s Gear Guide 2013 appraised that the Shoestring SL 22 uses Insotect TubicTM insulation system. Insotect TubicTM combines the presence of Vertical Thermal ChannelTM (VTC) and Insotect’s proprietary DualVaultTM system component, alongside with the Pinneco Core® technology, into one complete insulation system. The tubular-shaped channels allows for the vertical and arched insulation fibers to deliver its maximum loft. Air is better trapped, and this system saves weight.
Credit goes to the insulation technology, Pinneco Core®. Pinneco Core® is a synthetic insulation technology is made from short-stapled fiber insulation layers, and features CoreScreenTM, a breathable membrane. This membrane is laminated onto insulation layers through a patented process called CoreFusionTM. The CoreScreenTM membrane is sealed onto the insulation, which effectively works as virtual air pump, actively drawing moisture away while retaining warmth within. The CoreScreenTM also works as a backbone of the insulation structure. It provides structural strength and support, and can cater to a variety of different architects. Pinneco Core® is the only synthetic insulation technology that can maximize the performance this tubular construction.
