Point6, the evolutionary merino sock venture from the founders of the merino wool movement, is pleased to announce a new rep force to accompany their recent foray into traditional retail. Industry veteran Chris Rounds leads the point6 sales rep team.

A former member of the US Ski Team and specialty ski shop owner, Rounds has been President of the Midwestern Reps Association for 18 years, and will cover southern Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky with Kevin Welborn.

Veteran reps Tim Hattrup and Ian Reid bring extensive outdoor, alpine and action sports market experience to their territory of Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. They formed Redline Sports Group along with Suzanne Reid, who manages the group’s office and operations. Other lines include Sanuk and All Terrain.

Ames Adventure Outfitters is led by former store manager-buyer-owner Brian Block and includes Jon Jugenheimer, Vanessa Block and Peter Grimes. Currently representing top-tier brands like Marmot, Osprey, Ambler and Scarpa, AAO will manage point6 sales activity in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota and northern Michigan.

Dead Drift Trading represents a philosophy, as well as a quiver of outdoor brands managed by Stan Smith, in Idaho and Montana.

“A dead drift is a fly fishing term referring to a natural, drag-free presentation to a fish,” said Smith. “It’s my goal to bring that same approach as a rep when working with retailers in the outdoor industry.”

Husband and wife team Craig and Kristi Wingard will cover the Northern California and Northern Nevada territories. Along with point6, the Wingards represent Volkl, Marker, Helly Hansen and Dale of Norway.

“We saw several great opportunities with point6,” said Craig. “The exceptional products, the margins necessary for success in our current environment and signing on with industry veterans Peter and Patty Duke.”

Dick Nelms and Barney Dawson take the reins in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. With thirty years of experience in ski, outdoor and specialty footwear, they have successfully introduced and developed many key industry brands within their territory.

The point6 rep team is rounded out by:
Brent Williams – Northwest
Matt Smith – Alaska
Patti Fisher/ Susie Patterson – Southern California, Arizona, Las Vegas
