Steamboat, Colo., — (Sept. 21, 2010) – Point6™, designer and manufacturer of premium merino wool socks, offers support to the Fourmile Canyon Victims Relief fund to aid the victims of the recent fire in Boulder, Colorado.
Point6 is one of a coalition of outdoor industry manufacturers who have pledged to donate goods to aid the fire victims in response to an industry wide outreach effort. Industry players have banned together to provide immediate necessities including: socks, shoes, toiletries, blankets, jackets and insulation. The United Way has partnered with the relief fund to provide staff on the ground to ensure that all goods are distributed to the victims.
Point6 will provide more than 300 pairs of their performance merino wool socks to victims of the fire that blazed through Boulder, destroying everything in its path, including hundreds of homes. Their performance socks keep feet dry, warm and comfortable as the cold weather fast approaches.
“The devastating fire in Boulder hit home for many of us in the outdoor industry,” said Betsy Seabert, marketing director for Point6. “We hope that the relief efforts will bring some comfort to the many families affected by this tragic event.”
