Polygiene Announces New Partners and Products at 2016 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market

Leading Odor Control Technology provider ensures freshness for best-in-class outdoor and sports brands in 2016

MALMÖ, Sweden (August 1, 2016) — Polygiene®, the world leader in odor control and freshness technologies, is pleased to announce that White Sierra and TREW will begin utilizing Polygiene’s odor control technology for the brands’ current and Spring 2017 seasons. Existing Polygiene top-in-class brands and partners: Toad&Co, SOLE, La Sportiva and Patagonia, will also continue to expand product selections treated with Polygiene for the Spring and Summer 2017 seasons.

Polygiene is a bluesign® approved, silver-salt treatment for textiles. Derived from recycled content (silver mostly from used electronics), Polygiene reduces the need for frequent laundering, saving water and energy, as well as time, over the life cycle of apparel.

“We couldn’t be more excited to see two new great brands bring in Polygiene to their collections,” said Polygiene CEO, Christian von Uthmann. “Going into the Outdoor Retailer show next week with those brands and expansions for our current partners on their offerings is a big moment for Polygiene.”

TREW just launched four new styles with Polygiene: its Syncline collections features long-sleeve (men’s & women’s, MSRP $45.00) and short-sleeve styles (men’s & women’s, MSRP $35.00). Both styles are designed for high-output activities and hot weather. The quick-drying polyester/spandex blend has knitted channels that quickly disperse sweat and promote airflow. With the Polygiene functionality, those styles can take a hard workout and will not emit odor.

White Sierra, a San Francisco-based lifestyle and outdoor apparel company, will include Polygiene in its active wear as it looks to build that category. For more than three decades, the family-owned company has provided products that fit the entire family and are the ideal gear inclusions for any outdoor pursuit.

Polygiene partner La Sportiva is launching Spring/Summer 2017 line with its new men’s Skin T-Shirt, which is a quick-dry tee with seamless knit technology for high aerobic activities. Body-mapped compression panels and a raglan sleeve construction are paired with Polygiene anti-odor treatment for a lightweight, performance oriented shirt. MSRP $79.00.

Maloja, a German-brand based in the “alderwoods” of the Swiss Engadin has expanded its collection of Polygiene-treated mountain biking and cycling apparel for its 2016 season. Much of the “rock and roll” themed collection features Polygiene, including the men’s Johnson Jersey, which is made of quick-drying, highly functional material that is ultra lightweight and UV protective. The men’s Johnson Bib Shorts are also treated with Polygiene and features newly developed and anatomically designed Shock Absorption Technology chamois that protects and retains 90 percent of impact energy.

Toad&Co continues to expand its use of Polygiene in the brand’s Modern Travel Collection. The women’s Grandstand Tight, a staple in any suitcase, is now treated with Polygiene. A spandex/polyester blend provides great fit and compression and is versatile – great for everything from yoga to dinner in the city. Another Polygiene-treated travel necessity is its men’s Embarko SS Polo, which is perfect for those slightly buttoned-up occasions while still wanting to stay cool and active.

SOLE footwear is taking a stand against smelly feet with its Polygiene- treated Sport Flips, which are comfortable, versatile, water-friendly and odor-free. Cushioned synthetic straps and an ultra-soft polyester liner offer everyday comfort. SOLE also provides Polygiene-treated footbeds, which feature lightweight, supportive and moldable technology.

Polygiene continues to work with a multitude of top brands in the outdoor industry, including Patagonia, adidas, Athleta, Eddie Bauer, Buff, Pak Towel, among others. To find out more about Polygiene and the extensive list of partners using Polygiene technology, please visit www.polygiene.com.
