On September 16th and 17th, over 5,000 runners will take over the roads between Franconia and Hampton Beach, NH during the 200 mile New Balance Reach the Beach Relay (RTB). Slated as one of the best relays in the country, RTB has become a sought-after race by runners of all abilities, and Rogers Corporation’s PORON® Cushioning is proud to be a supporter of the event.

Scheduled for mid-September, the race takes place at the start of the New England foliage season and winds athletes through some of the most picturesque locations in New Hampshire. Teams of up to 12 runners will take turns running anywhere between four and eight miles at a time taking them to the finish line at Hampton Beach State Park.

“Reach the Beach is a fantastic long-distance relay and we are elated to be a part of such a fun event,” states Dave Sherman, Business Development Manager, PORON Cushioning Materials. “Teaming up with RTB allows us to speak to a great group of athletes and tell them about the benefits of PORON Products.”

PORON Cushioning is a high-performance foam designed into products from insoles to helmets. Some of its partners include New Balance after market insoles, Rawlings baseball helmets and Red Wing Shoes. The PORON Cushioning street team will be at the start and finish line of the event distributing all sorts of goodies to visitors.

Paul Dionne, RTB Sponsorship Coordinate adds, “We are thrilled to have PORON Cushioning as a new partner of the event. Having great sponsors support RTB allows us to give our athletes a fun and safe race environment that they look forward to year after year. Our race continues to sell out each year due to the experience our athletes receive from not just the race, but also our great partners.”

As teams work their way to the finish, little sleep will take place, but the experience they will have will overshadow all tired muscles and bones. Teams will be greeted at the finish line with great food, cold beverages, music and stories from teammates that will live a lifetime.
