Endurance law and athlete management agency, Presidio Sports Management, recently announced the addition of U.S. mountain runner Joseph Gray to its impressive roster of endurance athletes which includes Jorge Maravilla, Dylan Bowman, Alex Varner, Ian Sharman and YiOu Wang.

The announcement comes a week after the Colorado-based athlete was selected Men’s Mountain Runner of the Year for the fifth time by USA Track and Field’s Mountain, Ultra and Trail Sports Council for outstanding 2014 mountain performance.

“We’re thrilled to bring on such a decorated and accomplished athlete such as Joe,” said Chris Douglas, Founder and President of Presidio Sports Management. “Not only is he one of the nation’s most versatile athletes but he continues to take the international running scene by storm.”

An all-terrain sensation on the trails, roads and cross-country circuit, Gray has competed on 17 U.S. national teams since 2003 and taken home nine national championship titles – including the 2013 and 2014 U.S. Mountain Running Championships.

In 2013 Gray made his Boston Marathon debut with a finishing time of 2:18.45 and in January 2014 qualified for the 2016 U.S. Olympic marathon trials with a half marathon time of 1:03.42.

This past February Gray placed first in the North America, Central America and Caribbean (NACAC) Cross Country Championships in Tobago – a win which helped secure the gold for the U.S. Men’s team and Gray’s status as the first athlete to win both the NACAC Cross Country and Mountain Running Championships.

“I’m really excited to be working with Presidio Sports Management for the future of my career,” said Gray. “It’s good to have a group of individuals who truly love the sport and have a genuine interest in helping athletes working beside you.”

Gray is currently sponsored by Mio Global, Scott Sports, Club Northwest, Beet Elite, Garden of Life and Spenco Medical. You can follow Joseph Gray on twitter at @joegeezi.
