ALBANY, New York (Jan. 12, 2011) — PrimaLoft®, the world leader in performance insulation and yarn, is proud to sponsor the 15th annual Adirondack International Mountainfest in Keene Valley, NY, January 14th –16th.

Presented by The Mountaineer, Keene Valley’s high-end specialty outdoors store, the festival includes mountaineering clinics, guest pro climbers and speakers, slide shows, demos and more. Special guests will join local guides and pro athletes to lead instructional clinics on ice climbing, mountaineering, snowshoeing and avalanche awareness. The Mountainfest also benefits three local organizations: The Keene Valley (KV) Search and Rescue, KV Fire Department, and KV Central School.
Freddie Wilkinson, Mark Newcomb and Matt McCormick will give presentations on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The headlining speaker at the event will be Ice Climber and Marmot pro athlete Mark Newcomb, who will present at the Keene Valley Central School. PrimaLoft will provide giveaways of their performance socks made with PrimaLoft® YARN to those who registered for clinics at the event. In addition, they will give away five $50 gift certificates to use on PrimaLoft-insulated products as part of the event’s for-benefit raffle.
