Stove Systems Debut Patent Burner Head and Locking Mechanism
(Boulder, CO) July 31, 2013— In Spring 2014, stove manufacturer Primus expands its range of innovative outdoor cooking essentials with additions to its Cookware Collection and ‘Eta’ Series, derived from the Greek symbol for efficiency. The Eta Spider and Eta Lite round out the Eta collection with more options for mid-level and expedition range activities, offering consumers lightweight stoves fit for individual or two person use. Like their counterparts in the current Eta range, both stoves feature specially designed windshields and heat exchangers to amplify the power and effectiveness of cooking food quickly in any weather condition. The unique technological design of the Eta Lite and Eta Spider provide double the fuel-efficiency compared to other stoves on the market. Rounding out the Spring 2014 collection, Primus will add a premium, stainless steel Gourmet Pot Set to its cookware category. With 120 years of experience in the outdoor industry, Primus’ Spring 2014 collection will continue to meet the cooking needs of outdoor consumers at the basecamp, trail and expedition levels.
Eta Spider, $119.99
The Eta Spider joins the Eta offering as a compact cooking system fit for two people. The most versatile stove in the collection, the Eta Spider is ideal from base camp to trail and can convert to a true multi-fuel burner using the Primus Multi-Fuel Kit. With a low center and wide base, the Eta Spider maintains stability on uneven terrain and with a magnetic windscreen ensures a consistent flame when cooking. The easily packable stove is equipped with a corresponding Eta Spider Pot. The pot has a one liter capacity and a heat resistant, non-stick ceramic coating for quick and even cooking. The Eta Spider system has a boiling time of 2:19 minutes. Weight: 599 grams
Eta Lite, $99.99
The Eta Lite debuts as Primus’ most compact cooking stove to date ideal for backpacking. The stove is designed with a patented, cutting edge laminar flow burner technology that allows for a lower center of gravity significantly increasing stability. Smallest in the range, the fuel efficient Eta Lite is a great option for individual use. With an integrated hanger and patented triangle twist and click locking mechanism, the stove can also cook while suspended in air. Additional features include an integrated mug design that fits into the base with a locking mechanism that can be used with Primus’ coffee press and can also fit the 0.5 Liter Eta Pot. The Eta Lite has a boiling time of 2.03 minutes. Weight: 355 grams
Gourmet Pots, $99.99 for Deluxe Set
Primus also adds a stainless steel Gourmet Pot Set to its line of cookware. Inspired by the evolving outdoor consumer who values premium and durable design, the Gourmet Pot collection features a hard-wearing, stainless steel construction. The three pot system borrows the compact design of the Primus Eta Pot and is designed to rest inside each other for easy storage and transport. The pots feature an aluminum laminated core to ensure an even spread of heat and cooking. All sets can be used on an open fire as well as Primus stoves. Weight: 808 grams (3 liter pot); Frying Pan is available separately for $39.99.
