Primus Introduces New Burner Technology & Expanded Stove Options For Spring 2015

(Boulder, CO) August 6, 2014 — In Spring 2015, stove manufacturer Primus will once again innovate on its range of fuel-efficient outdoor cooking essentials with the launch of new burner technologies and expanded stove options for use at basecamp, trail and expedition levels. The brand will also make improvements to a series of in-line products allowing for higher fuel efficiency, easier storage and choice of color on select stove models. The Primus Spring-Summer 2015 collection will be available in early 2015 at specialty outdoor retailers and online at www.primuscamping.com.

NEW PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

BASECAMP: DUAL BURNER STOVE

Primus will introduce three dual burner stove models to its Basecamp category. In addition, the brand will upgrade its existing dual burner systems, the Profile and the FireHole with improved burner grates, a new windscreen design and fiber optic latches for better closure and easier transport.

Radiant 2 Burner Stove | $179.95

Primusintroduces a new burner system designed to provide a more efficient, even flow heat source: the Radiant Burner. This burner system debuts in the patent pending Radiant 2 Burner Stove. Through the incorporation of a true heating element within the burner itself, a single Radiant Burner produces 2.5 times the heat with 20% less gas consumption than one 10,000 BTU burner. The Radiant Burners also produce a 36% greater heat circumference and feature a simmer to full throttle heat adjustment. The lightweight Radiant 2 Burner Stove is equipped with a twist rotary piezo ignition with a separate regulator hose assembly and cylinder base unit for more efficient fuel performance. A higher windshield and wide burner grates improve performance from the larger burner surface. A great option for camp cooking, the stove can accommodate meals for several individuals. Additional features include: modified side and back vents, a under carriage handle and Primus stamped logo branding.

Power 25 (2 Burner) Stove | $169.95

The Power 25 (2 Burner)Stove, the true workhorse of Primus’ two burner collection, is equipped with two 25,000 BTU stainless steel burners and a rotary piezo igniter. Built with the serious performance griller in mind, the burners feature a simmer to boil adjustment. A gas canister stand, complete with a cylinder base and regulator hose assembly, allows for optimized fuel performance. A stainless steel grill base allows for easy clean up.

Power Outdoorsman Stove | $189.95

With a combination burner and grill plate design, the Power Outdoorsman Stove features one 25,000 BTU stainless steel burner and one 8,000 tube burner beneath the grill plate. The hybrid grate and grill design provides flexibility and convenience, making the model a great option for all experience levels, from the aspiring grill master to the proven camp chef. The stove is equipped with a piezo ignition system with improved placement on the grill front plate. Coated drip trays and grill plates allow for quick clean up and easy maintenance.

TRAIL: SINGLE BURNER SYSTEMS

The Trailcategory features simple, lightweight and fuel-efficient cooking systems that are best suited for extended treks. A marquee stove in the line, the Eta Lite, will be updated in new colors and sizes for the coming season.

Eta Lite, Eta Lite Quick, & Eta Lite XL | $99.95, $109.95 & $129.95

The most compact and fuel efficient stove from Primus to date, the versatile Eta Lite is designed with a patented, cutting edge laminar flow burner technology that allows for a lower center of gravity significantly increasing stability. An integrated hanger and patented triangle twist and click locking mechanism also allow the stove to function while suspended. Primus will add two new sizes to its Eta Lite range, the Eta Lite XL and Eta Lite Quick.The Eta Lite XLfeatures a larger capacity, hard anodized aluminum one-liter pot, while the Eta Lite Quick is equipped with a smaller 500-millileter pot. The original size model will also be updated in new seasonal colors, including: a Real Tree camouflage pattern designed specifically for hunters, red and green plaid patterns for the design-conscious outdoorsman, and new solid colors to match individual style preferences.

EXPEDITION: SINGLE BURNER SYSTEMS

The Primus Expedition category includes stoves built for extreme conditions. The units feature minimal parts allowing for easy replacement and maintenance in the field. In addition to gas, the stoves also run on most liquid fuels for optimized performance in extreme cold and remote locations.

OmniFuel II | $169.95

Primus will update its award-winning multi-fuel unit the OmniFuel to introduce the OmniFuel II. The improved model will feature a new fold flat feature for the pot stand and an easy, spring loaded flame spreader. The stove will also offer a new option for storing fuel jet nozzles build onto the leg supports.
