BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – March 29, 2007 – Octane Fitness, a leading manufacturer of multiple award-winning, premium elliptical cross trainers, now offers health clubs the Pro4500, a full commercial, top-of-the-line elliptical cross trainer with the breakthrough SmartStride interactive ergonomics and electronically adjustable stride length.
“With the Pro4500, health clubs now can give their members the customization and variety they demand with the incredibly popular SmartStride, which is exclusive to Octane, along with electronically adjustable stride length,†said Tim Porth, executive vice president of product development and marketing for Octane Fitness.
Exceptional Lower- and Upper-Body Motion
The Pro4500 is the first Octane elliptical designed for heavy health club usage that incorporates the proprietary SmartStride. Unlike anything available today, SmartStride interactive ergonomics custom-fits individuals by monitoring each exerciser’s pace and direction and automatically adjusting stride length accordingly. SmartStride lengthens strides when exercisers move faster and shortens them when users move at a slower pace. In addition, pedaling backwards shortens the stride naturally.
For complete control at the touch of a button, the Pro4500 also boasts electronically adjustable stride length that enables exercisers to change strides at any time from 18 inches to 23 inches.
In addition, Octane perfects the lower-body motion with its trademark Body-Mapping Ergonomics and patented QuadLink drive, for natural, fluid movement, along with the closest pedal spacing in the industry to optimize comfort and virtually eliminate potential back stress.
For the upper body, exercisers benefit from the patented MultiGrip handlebars that are designed to accommodate every size exerciser and facilitate different movements such a pushing and pulling.
Igniting Workouts
Five variable stride programs uniquely combine stride length, direction and resistance level to fuel workouts and drive results.
Octane’s signature X-Mode and GluteKicker features command various positions—like squat, go in reverse and more—so users can reap the rewards of total-body cross training. On the Pro4500, users can take advantage of customizing their intervals during these rigorous routines.
And the one-of-a-kind ArmBlaster boosts cardiovascular endurance while simultaneously building upper-body strength. Equipped with digital contact heart rate sensors and wireless telemetry, the Pro4500 offers five interactive heart rate programs for personalized training.
Warranty coverage is lifetime warranty on the frame, three years on parts and one year on labor. With manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $5,599, this premium model is available to fitness facilities direct from Octane Fitness and from specialty fitness retail stores.
