PROBAR® Protein Bars Change Names & Add Flavors
PROBAR CORE™ changes to PROBAR BASE™
Salt Lake City, UT (June 4, 2014)—PROBAR®, maker of delicious, convenient, healthy, plant-based food products, is excited to add two more delicious products to its popular lineup of protein bars, recently re-named PROBAR BASE™. Previously known as “CORE,” PROBAR’s new BASE™ bars will feature the same delicious flavor and nutritional benefits as before, but with the addition of two new flavors: Frosted Peanut Butter and Chocolate SuperGreens.
PROBAR’s BASE™ Protein bars have been rapidly growing in popularity since their initial release as “CORE” in spring 2013. PROBAR’s BASE™ bars are packed with 20g of plant-based protein, a chia and flax seed blend, and are certified gluten-free and non-GMO Project Verified. Additionally, PROBAR plans to release two new delicious flavors in BASE™ available mid-summer: Frosted Peanut Butter and Chocolate SuperGreens.
The category name change comes as PROBAR is undergoing a company-wide brand refresh. The brand refresh includes refining key visuals and branding elements, as well as the name change. The change to PROBAR BASE™ will serve to avoid any potential confusion in the marketplace with existing products using the name “CORE.” Additionally, the name PROBAR BASE™ is more closely aligned with the demographics and positioning of the product.
