PROBAR® Wins 2008 Expo West Best of Show Award!

Park City, UT — VegNews, America’s premier vegetarian lifestyle magazine, is pleased to announce PROBAR’s Cocoa Pistachio bar as one of the year’s hottest new vegetarian products at the nation’s largest natural products trade show, Expo West. Held March 14–16 in Anaheim, the magazine’s team of editors scoured the show for the best new vegetarian products and awarded just 12 companies top honors. This Best of Show Awards are the only one of its kind at the event that attracted 52,000 attendees and nearly 3,400 exhibitors.

“The unique flavor combination of the Cocoa Pistachio bar is what people will notice most,” says Art Eggertsen, who personally masterminded the new concoction. “The bar is built on our basic carbohydrate-protein recipe, yet they’re a little less sweet. They’re still made on the 15 whole foods platform we’ve always had, but now the distinct flavor really stands out.”

This is the third annual VegNews Magazine Best of Show Awards. They generated an astounding amount of entries and buzz at Expo West and are already being anticipated for 2009. Winners receive bragging rights plus a beautiful framed award, a feature in the July+August 2008 issue of VegNews, and excellent publicity generated through the awards.
