Melbourne, AUS (January 8, 2015) – With its new line of winter jackets and pants, Melbourne-based performance apparel company PROJECTclothing® has now added a key item to the all-important “essential features” list of the ideal winter jacket. In addition to the typical “key” features, such as: waterproof, breathable, helmet-sized hood, pit zips, taped seams, perfect pockets, etc., PROJECT has utilized materials developed by Celliant® and proven to improve the wearer’s bloodflow, stamina and performance. Check these out at Booth 38182.

Graeme Clarke, PROJECT clothing President & CEO, says PROJECT has taken the critical features one important step further, “Any time you see the list of vital features for that ideal jacket, the premier jackets all boast similar features: waterproof breathability, high collar, lengthy cuffs, helmet-fitting hood, snow skirt, taped seams, pit zips and all the right pockets. Thanks to our attention to detail and our special partnership with Celliant, we’ve added more: a product that recycles the wearer’s body heat as infrared energy, which promotes circulation, increasing oxygen and cell vitality, further regulating body temperature from within. The result is improved bloodflow, amplifying stamina and endurance and that’s just what skiers and boarders want and need. No one else offers that.”

This month PROJECT will debut its new line of three technical ski/snowboard jackets with pants at the OR Show , in Salt Lake City, including the Arctic, the Downhill and the Powder, all of which utilize Celliant technology to offer more than just warmth and comfort on the slopes.

POWDER: Created for that perfect knee-deep powder day, the POWDER ski jacket consists of a waterproof outer shell with a Celliant sports mesh liner and a host of key details, including taped seams, waterproof hood lining, fleece lined collar, secure insulated pockets, ventilation zips, inner sleeves with thumbholes and more. The impermeable outer layer with the stretch Celliant liner, clinically proven to absorb and recycle the skier’s body heat to increase blood flow and performance, ensures all day comfort and dynamic function. Lightweight and nimble, the POWDER jacket and pant are an impressive value.

The Powder jacket will be available in a variety of colors, and the matching pants in 2 colors. PROJECT can also customize colors to suit the specific needs of dealers and distributors. MSRP $299

The ultimate Arctic offers an array of invaluable features, all dedicated to ensuring warmth, comfort and protection from the elements, to make it the go-to jacket for those going seriously “out there.”

In addition to the thoughtful construction, one important key to PROJECT’s new offerings is the use of Celliant materials, clinically proven and patented technology that harnesses and recycles the body’s natural energy through a range of yarns and fabrics. Celliant utilizes a blend of thirteen minerals and proprietary ingredients that are embedded into the core of the fibers woven to produce performance yarns, or infused into the down. Celliant’s technology is based in physics and biochemistry: Energy in the form of heat produced by the wearer is transferred into infrared light (IR), which is then absorbed by the tissues and muscles. When worn near the body during activity the Celliant yarns cause oxygen levels to increase, leading to better muscle recovery, heightened strength, body temperature regulation, and improved quality of sleep. Celliant technology is ideal for the extreme demands of outdoor sport applications in summer and winter clothing and hard goods.
