Thermacell Launches Kickstarter Campaign for New Technology

BEDFORD, Mass-December 15, 2017

Thermacell Repellents, Inc., an innovative manufacturer of area mosquito repellents and other insect control solutions, today announced its first-ever Kickstarter campaign for the launch of the revolutionary Radius Zone Mosquito Repellent. Radius is the world’s first rechargeable, EPA-approved zone mosquito repellent. At the push of a button, Radius provides a 110-square-foot zone of protection from mosquitoes.

The Radius Kickstarter campaign begins on Dec. 13, and concludes on Jan. 11, 2018. The campaign is intended to further the Thermacell mission, to change the way the world fights mosquitoes. Through Kickstarter, backers will get an inside look at the product development process with firsthand insights from the lead engineers. In addition, backers will have the opportunity to purchase Radius at early bird special pricing, and be among the first to own the repeller.

“Radius is our most innovative product to date,” said Kyle Adelman, marketing manager at Thermacell. “We are excited to take an unconventional approach to this product launch, and look forward to giving the Kickstarter audience a sneak peek at Radius prior to broader market launch.”

A sampling of Kickstarter pledges includes:

· A $40 pledge for an Early Bird package includes a Radius starter kit and a 40 hour refill; a 43% discount.

· A $140 pledge to the “Campsite Captain” package includes 2 starter kits, 3 40-hour refills and a Thermacell cobranded Yeti Rambler.

· A $650 pledge for the “Backyard Bash,” includes 4 starter kits, 4 40 hour refills, a cobranded Yeti 45 Tundra and a lobster meal for 4. The lobster meal pays homage to New England, where Thermacell is headquartered.
