Ramtect USA hygroscopic sheep wool insulation introduced at previous Outdoor Retailer Shows is officially opening and offering the closest to home as possible Craft manufactured wool insulated light weight jackets, vests and pants. The entire selection of Essential styles is for sale to retailers at booth# 62047 crafted by Spirit West’s owner Steve Bommer in Calgary Alberta steeped at the gateway to the Canadian Rockies. Retailers can simply review styles and prices and delivery and also talk directly to the Ramtect professionals about the just completed wear testing of the garments.

Doug Hoschek, Ramtect Outdoor Director, contracted with Bob Woodward, the founding owner of SNEWS, requesting the SNEWS original AHB (average human beings) wear testing program for the Essential styles.

Hoschek, the co inventor of Polarfleece believes, “whatever the customer wants the retailer will soon be told and asked to find it.”

The AHB’s recreation participants are the core of the Demonstration Development program. Covering the age groups of boomers, genxers and millennials.

Recently the outdoor industry was introduced to the words “locavore outdoorist”.

“Stated to be relating to food and low impact eating, buying food that is grown as close to home as possible.”

Hoschek and Bommer both believe that wool is as close to a food as possible being raised on a sheep and allowed to live a very long animal life properly cared for by human beings (ranchers). To follow the new “locavore outdoorist” millennial, similar sentiment is offered in the Craft manufacturing of Spirit West wool insulated garments. Ecologically minded to be concerned with the relation of living organisms to one another and to their physical surrounding. From a quoted wear tester (AHB) “knowing it’s wool made me want it even more.”

The entire 3 weeks of wear testing was experienced in the high elevation forests and high desert recreation lands of Bend, Oregon. Hoschek refers to that area as “his perfect storm.” Polarfleece was tested the same way and today the better ecological natural fiber wool is reaching out to the same specialty retailers.

Spirit West light weight Craft made outerwear insulated with Ramtect responsibly raised sheep wool is available for fall 2015 delivery and spring/summer 2016.

The expectations from Bommer and Hoschek believe this new Craft manufacturing program will be on going for many future OR shows and seasons of success for Specialty Retailers attending the OR shows.
