August 24, 2010 (Bainbridge Island, WA) – Redington is taking comfort and functionality in apparel to the next level with its new collection of knits and technical garments. This apparel line is meant to encourage consumers to get outdoors more and enjoy being active.
The men’s Lost River Tee is the first in the collection of new knits and comes in a long sleeve and a short sleeve version. This is a versatile performance garment that is fast wicking, quick dry and has a UPF of 30+ for supreme sun protection. The flat lock stitching and raglan sleeves make wearing this shirt on the flats or even around town extremely comfortable. The fact that it is anti-microbial makes this piece perfect for any long weekend in the outdoors. The short sleeve retails for $29.95 and the long sleeve is $34.95
Another great shirt that is stylish yet performance driven is the men’s Mazama Polo with short sleeves. This shirt has many of the same features as the Lost River Tee including the fabric features, but a chest pocket is included as well as a ¼ zip down the center in traditional polo style. This shirt sells for $44.95.
The men’s knitted Rex Technical Tee is lighter than a traditionally woven, vented fishing shirt but still has features ideal for anglers. Elongated sleeves provide hand protection from the sun, as does the small yet functional collar. Fast-wicking, quick-dry, 100% polyester fabric and an inconspicuous pocket on the side round out the features of this shirt for $39.95.
The Cascade Hoody completes the collection of knits for men as a piece that is versatile enough to support multi-sport interests. Perfect for three-season comfort and performance, the Cascade Hoody has zippered hand pockets on the lower body and one upper arm zippered sleeve pocket. The men’s Copper River Pant is ideal for the angling enthusiast looking for absolute comfort. The 100% nylon rip-stop fabric is fast wicking, quick drying, anti-bacterial and has a UPF rating of 30+ for sun protection. Redington launched its women’s apparel line last year with great success and the pieces added for 2011 make great additions. The flattering women’s Chelan Tee is a long sleeve, stylish and comfortable shirt with unique cuts and attention to detail. The high collar and long sleeves protect sensitive skin from the sun as does the UPF 30+ rating. Fast wicking, quick drying 100% polyester fabric makes this tee performance oriented. That will no longer be the case thanks to the Tideland Short for women.
