BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WA – Redington’s Eco Grip™ Rubber Sole Boot has proudly landed a 2009 Dealer’s Choice Award at the Fly Fishing Retailer World Trade Expo (FFR) in Denver. Winning products are selected and voted on exclusively by dealers and retailers attending FFR.

Also known as the “Ka-Ching” award, the Dealer’s Choice Awards identify the products most likely to sell well in fly shops in the coming year. There are five categories and voting continues throughout the show. Votes are tallied by the Morris Sporting Group (publishers of Gray’s Sporting Journal, American Angler and Fly Tyer), and the awards are presented on the final day.

Redington’s Eco Grip Rubber Sole Boots are revolutionary in the fly fishing industry, featuring tough technology that’s light on the environment. Borrowing from military technology, the Eco Grip features a lugged rubber outsole with razor-siped Tactical Rubber Technology™, designed and engineered for the U.S. Navy SEALS for extreme traction under the slipperiest conditions. In addition to no-slip grip, the no-felt design means no inadvertently moving unwelcomed plants and organisms from one stream to another. Other details unique to the Redington Eco Grip boot include high-abrasion TPU uppers for a long, scuff-resistant life; ballistic mesh between the outsole and upper to keep out pebbles and debris; mesh side panels to aid draining; and a DWR finish to mitigate absorption and ensure a great day of wading.

“Redington is really proud of our Eco Grip boot as a company,” said Jennifer Gish, Marketing Coordinator at Redington. “For dealers and retailers to select it as ‘Dealer’s Choice’ means a lot to us and validates our dedication to developing cutting edge fly fishing products for anglers around the world.” Gish continued, “we know our consumers value nature and there is integrity in these boots. We hope that consumers embrace them as well as the idea of eliminating aquatic hitchhikers and taking care of the waters that we all love and enjoy.”
