HERA’s annual fundraiser transitions to a new scenic, outdoor venue July 8 - 10, 2011. Registration is now available online at www.HeraFoundation.org for the popular annual climbing and hiking event that raises funds for ovarian cancer research.

Climbers and hikers of all abilities and ages are invited to participate in the 6th Annual HERA Climb4LifeSM Metro DC weekend in Washington DC July 8th- 10th. For the first time ever, this event will be held outdoors among the crags of the Potomac River, namely Carderock, Maryland and Great Falls, Virginia.
“We are also adding something new this year – a huge Celebration Party Saturday night at the Glenview Manor in Rockville,†said Lisa O’Connor, HERA’s Board Treasurer. This will be an amazing night of fun, food and drinks along with our fundraising awards, silent auction and music and dancing. We will also highlight a few crag presentations from local climbers,†she added.
The registration fee of $50 includes an event t-shirt and goodie bag as well as entrance to various social events including the registration social at REI, climbing, hiking, and new this year– the Climb4Life Celebration at Glenview Manor in Rockville, Maryland. Other weekend activities include outdoor skills clinics, awards for top fundraisers, gear giveaways, a silent auction and yoga.
