Rich Weight Joins GSI Outdoors as Sales Director

Effective January 15, Rich Weight will assume the new position of sales director for GSI Outdoors, a leading supplier of outdoor cooking and dining products.

Spokane, Washington – January 7, 2008 – Effective January 15, Rich Weight will assume the new position of sales director for GSI Outdoors, a leading supplier of outdoor cooking and dining products.

The announcement was made by Mike Glavin, sales and marketing director for the company. In this new position, Rich will manage the company’s independent sales agency network, direct efforts of the customer service team, and develop and execute in-store sales support programs.

Rich joins the company with many years experience in the outdoors. He was most recently domestic and international director of sales for Cloudveil. Prior to that, he held the same position for Chaco. With both companies, he helped oversee a steady period of growth. He is active in the outdoors and has an extensive climbing and global travel background.

“I couldn’t ask for a better position that gives me an opportunity to sell products I use everyday and to help develop new and exciting sales programs for the company,” commented Rich. “And I get to be a part of a well-established team and a brand that is well-respected in the industry.”
