SAN CARLOS, Calif. – June 8, 2010 – On Sunday, Ritchey Design-sponsored teams UnitedHealthcare presented by Maxxis, Jamis/Sutter Home Men’s Pro Cycling Team and Colavita/Baci Women’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light made significant advances in the 2010 racing season.
Marc de Maar of UnitedHealthcare presented by Maxxis won the overall Men’s Pro Division at the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic in Mt. Hood, Oregon June 1 – 6, 2010 racing with Ritchey Design road race cockpit components. For road stages he used a WCS Alloy 1-Bolt Offset post and WCS Logic II bars with a WCS 4-Axis stem, and for the time trial the WCS Carbon Interval base bar and Alloy S-Bend extensions.
De Maar secured his overall Mt. Hood race win at the Stage 5 criterium with the help of his teammates, who brought to the event extensive American criterium experience and their own WCS components, including WCS EvoCurve bars.
Alejandro Borrajo of Jamis/Sutter Home Men’s Pro Cycling Team took fourth-place overall at the TD Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championship on June 6, 2010, a race where the heat and humidity kept more than half of the racers from finishing at all. The entire team races on WCS components, including Logic II bars and WCS 4-Axis stems.
Colavita/Baci Women’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light celebrated a podium finish at the same race with Theresa Cliff-Ryan’s third-place overall win in the Women’s Liberty Classic. In addition to WCS cockpits, the team races with WCS Echelon pedals.
