OutdoorGearEngine.com (OGE) and RockCreek.com (Rock/Creek Outfitters) are proud to announce a new affiliate/merchant partnership. OGE displays updated pricing and shipping information for outdoor gear from top web retailers. The service was launched in the winter of 2005 with the mission of providing up-to-date pricing information on thousands of products from the most respected outdoor companies. Featured brands include DAKINE, The North Face, Marmot and Yakima.
“OGE technology has been built from the ground up to accurately compare prices on thousands of outdoor products. It automatically scans the catalogs from our retail partners for the most recent pricing information,” says CEO Jesse Hoffman. “What differentiates OGE from other comparison services is our focus on gear and our commitment to indexing thousands of products. We want users to find what they’re looking for quickly so they can get outside and enjoy the outdoors.”
One frustration with many comparison services is that algorithms do not classify a specific product in one succinct comparison. With OGE, the data is compiled to present one comparison page that features pricing from the retailers that carry that specific product. If a user searches for a product that has not been indexed yet, matching results are presented from the entire library of over 300,000 skus.
