Attention RockyMounts MonoRail and SplitRail customers: This notice is being sent in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. RockyMounts Inc. has identified a potential welding defect with some MonoRail and SplitRail hitch racks manufactured between January 2016 and August 2017. In some cases, the weld is insufficient and could lead to failure. Stop using the rack immediately and check your rack. This affects both 1.25” and 2” models.
If your rack has no marking, it is being recalled. If it is labeled Rev H, I, J it is OK. If your rack is affected, please visit https://www.rockymounts.com/pages/recall-notices to obtain a new base. Bases will be shipped at no cost to the customer.
Safety for our customers and your bicycles is a priority. We have received reports of less than 1% with weld issues and are taking steps to ensure all the products meet our requirements. We sincerely apologize for problem and appreciate your cooperation.
