ROI Announces Piton Award Winners
ASHVILLE, NC – Sept. 1, 2006 â€“ Retailers of the Outdoor Industry (ROI), a buying group comprising independent entrepreneurial outdoor retailers, announced the recipients of its first-annual Piton Award in mid-August.
The Piton Award recognizes members who have made significant contributions to the group. This year’s awards were given to the members who founded ROI as well as those who have served on the organization’s Board of Directors. In the past five years, the ROI Board has worked hard to elevate the organization in terms of recruiting members, negotiating programs, and seeking feedback.
The board is currently tasked with ROI’s new focus, which will be unveiled over the next couple of months.
ROI’s 2006 Piton Award recipients are:
