RootsRated Partners with Outdoor Brands for Rate Your Roots Online Contest Series

Chattanooga, Tenn. (July 2, 2014) – RootsRated, the growing online resource for “where to go outdoors,” launches the Root for Your Country online contest to kick off a series of Rate Your Roots online promotions. The Root for Your Country RootsRated Contest is the first of ten contests happening in various cities throughout the U.S. By voting for your favorite outdoor destinations, you can win prizes from Yakima Racks, Osprey Packs, Chaco and other RootsRated brands and local retail partners.
To celebrate our nation’s independence and the new RootsRated iPhone app, RootsRated and Yakima joined forces for the Root for Your Country RootsRated Contest. The contest startedJuly 1st and will run through Sunday, July 6th. By voting for your favorite outdoor city and favorite local outdoor destination, you’ll be entered to win a $1000 Yakima rack.
“With the launch of our new RootsRated app, we wanted to do something big to get the word out about RootsRated and our brand and retail partners,” says Fynn Glover, founder of RootsRated.com. “We focus on providing local grassroots outdoor knowledge for locals and travelers alike, but this week’s contest is about celebrating all the amazing outdoor destinations throughout the country.”
Nine more local Rate Your Roots contests will take place in select cities through mid-August. All contests will run Tuesday through Sunday and prizewinners will be announced every Monday. Votes will determine RootsRated People’s Choice Award for the best or most popular outdoor destination in a given area.

- July 22nd through July 27th – Boulder/Denver, CO and Portland, OR

- August 5th through August 10th – Salt Lake City, UT
