[Bend, OR] – Ruffwear, the leading producer of high performance dog gear, is expanding its line of outdoor-inspired dog products for the Spring/Summer 2014 season. Retailers and customers will see updates across the board in Ruffwear’s materials and hardware. Materials that are lighter, more durable and weather resistant and hardware that takes inspiration from the outdoor hardgoods market make their appearance in rain jackets, food storage, leashes, collars and toys for the upcoming seasons. PVC-free coatings, recycled synthetic insulations and natural, renewable materials reinforce Ruffwear’s commitment to building durable products that minimize impact on the environment.
Materials and Hardware Updates
Ruffwear has added a new piece of hardware, the Talon Hook™, inspired by the hook closures found on outdoor gear. Ruffwear-designed, the aluminum Talon Hook™ is light, strong and secure and easy to use. Look for the new Talon Hook™ as a secure attachment point on Ruffwear’s collars and leashes.
Ruffwear is also introducing its new Wavelength™ webbing to enhance performance and durability in the popular Roamer™ Leash. Wavelength™ is a unique webbing that incorporates elastic to extend and retract, easing the strain on both the dog and human. With a new manufacturing process, the webbing and elastic are now integrated, which helps the elastic last longer and maintain its original pliability. The new Wavelength™ is also able to stretch farther than before without adding overall length to the leash in its relaxed state.
