Ruffwear Puts the ‘Dog’ in Dog-Friendly Midwest Outdoor Experience

{Bend, OR} If you live within driving distance of the Eastwood Metro Park in Dayton, OH, you have no excuse for boredom this weekend, October 4-5. The Midwest Outdoor Experience is a fun, family-friendly event offering outdoor demos, classes, and competitions along with live music, craft beer and on-site camping. The multi-day event also happens to be dog-friendly. So bring your trusty companion and run the Ruffwear Ruff 5K, watch the canine experts as they launch off the docks or fly through the air catching their Frisbee, or enjoy a mellow Yappy Hour at the Zuke’s Bark Zone.

Schedule of Ruffwear Dog Events:

• The Ruffwear Ruff Run 5K. The first 25 registered dogs get a free Quick Draw™ Leash.
• Backpacking With Your Dog. Taught by Greg Freyberg from Ruffwear, learn the basics of getting out on the trail with your dog and the best gear for the adventure. Friday, 7:30 PM, REI School booth. 
• Paddling Adventures With Your Dog. SUP With Your PUP taught by Maria Schultz of How To SUP With Your PUP. Saturday, 2:00 PM, REI School booth. 
• Ultimate Air Dogs Splash Finals. The first 25 registered for the Ultimate Air Dogs get a free Ruffwear Lunker™.

Ruffwear will also be on site offering gear demos and selling product in partnership with Dayton’s newest Ruffwear Dealer, Great Miami Outfitters.
