Ruffwear’s Spring/Summer 2014 Product Line Now Available

[Bend, OR] – Ruffwear’s Spring/Summer 2014 product line, including updated leashes, packs, and collars, along with new hardware pieces, jackets and food storage system, are now available to retailers and consumers. Ruffwear is the leading producer of high performance dog gear, focusing on building the best products to enhance and inspire outdoor adventures for dogs and their human companions.

Customers will see updates in Ruffwear’s materials and hardware for 2014. Materials that are lighter, more durable and weather resistant and hardware that takes inspiration from the outdoor hardgoods market make their appearance in rain jackets, food storage, leashes, collars and toys. PVC-free coatings, recycled synthetic insulations and natural, renewable materials reinforce Ruffwear’s commitment to building durable products that minimize impact on the environment. 

Materials and Hardware Updates

A new piece of hardware, the Talon Hook™, inspired by the hook closures found on outdoor gear, has been incorporated as a secure attachment point on many of the collars and leashes for 2014. Ruffwear-designed, the aluminum Talon Hook™ is light, strong and secure and easy to use.

Ruffwear has also introduced its new Wavelength™ webbing to enhance performance and durability in the popular Roamer™ Leash. Wavelength™ is a unique webbing that incorporates elastic to extend and retract, easing the strain on both the dog and human. With a new manufacturing process, the webbing and elastic are now integrated, which helps the elastic last longer and maintain its original pliability. The new Wavelength™ is also able to stretch farther than before without adding overall length to the leash in its relaxed state.

Crag™ Collar ($19.95 MSRP) The new Crag™ Collar utilizes Ruffwear’s metal Talon Hook™ as a unique connection alternative to the more traditional plastic side-release buckle. Kibble Kaddie™ ($39.95 MSRP) A portable food carrier that’s perfect for weekend or multi-week trips, home or office food storage. The interior fabric is PVC-free, grease-resistant and holds up to 42 cups. With the convenient side handle and front pocket for storing bowls, the Kibble Kaddie™ easily pours your companion’s food through its secure side chute with magnetic closure. The roll-down dry bag style closure allows for adjustable volume and packs down small.

Singletrak Pack™ ($89.95 MSRP) The top-selling Singletrak Pack™ has been updated with new colors, more streamlined pockets and new hydration bottles. The low-profile saddlebags ride close to the body, allowing the dog to be more agile. Perfect for long trail runs and day hikes, the Singletrak’s™ new soft-sided collapsible water bottles (2 included) are BPA-free and fit perfectly in the saddlebags.
