San Francisco, CA – January 16, 2015 – Rumpl, a leader in active homeware, announced today that the brand is expanding their assortment with the introduction of three new styles that will debut at next week’s Outdoor Retailer and will be available to consumers in May.
“The response to the original Rumpl Puffy has been fantastic, proving that people really do care about bedding,” said Rumpl Co-Founder, Wylie Robinson. “In the past, there hasn’t been much in the homeware space to really care about but we’d like to change that – first with the Puffy and now with our expanded offerings.”
Like the original Puffy, Rumpl’s new collection of high performance blankets utilize materials designed for the outdoor industry. These technical materials have been tested and proven in harsh environments, yet specifically selected by Rumpl for comfort and durability. The result is a line of premium and versatile blankets that can be used anywhere you go, or when you don’t want to go anywhere at all.

The Down Puffy
Featuring an intricate, 3D stitch pattern, Rumpl’s Down Puffy Throw (50”x70”) is the largest down blanket on the market that does not use traditional linear baffling. Utilizing a 20D Ripstop DWR nylon shell insulated with down, this premium, lightweight throw packs down to half the size of the original Rumpl Puffy, making it ideal for travel.
The 50/50 features two new materials – on one side, the stain-resistant, water-repellant, textured, woven poly offers a refined, upscale aesthetic and much needed update to the bedding category. On the other side of the blanket, an anti-microbial wool/cotton blend, works to wick moisture and resists odor, making the 50/50 Rumpl’s elegant workhorse.
Made from high performance tech fleece most often found in performance apparel, the Hoodie features a tight outer knit that has a soft hand feel and resists dirt thanks to its DWR coating. The fleece interior gives weight to the blanket while a touch of spandex gives it movement.
In addition to new styles, Rumpl will be launching new packaging for 2015. All blankets will ship in the brand’s signature boxes, starting in May, for ease of merchandising at retail.
