NORTH VANCOUVER, Canada (Sept 9, 2010) – Ryders Eyewear, the premier manufacturer of high-performance affordable eyewear, today introduced the new Shore and Banger, which comprise a revolutionary new line of downhill bike goggles.
The Shore and the Banger were designed to meet the specific challenges of freeride and downhill mountain biking. Bike legend Jay Hoots and Two-Time Masters DH World Champion Shaums March were integral contributors to Ryders’ R&D. March defined the new Ryders line as “The best goggles I have ever used.â€
The frames of both styles block vapor from the mouth and nose. Fresh air is channeled from the front and sides of the goggles to flow up the back of the lens while a double lens further battles fogging. Additional features include tear-off posts for racing, MTB helmet-friendly customization, advanced materials and top-rated performance for a reasonable price: almost all styles retail for under $50.
Said Ryders Brand Specialist Chris Strome, “We present a revolutionary design with an incredibly affordable price point. These are performance goggles for biking that are packed with technology and innovation.â€
With advanced airflow, double lenses, tear off posts, longer straps and compact fit, the fog-fighting Shore is the furthest thing from just another repurposed ski or MX goggle. The Shore is available with a clear lens for forests and a darker, polarized lens for riding in sunny areas like Utah, California, above treeline in Colorado and the Whistler Bike Park.
The Banger is a single-lens version of the Shore; lighter and simpler, but still adept at fighting fog and delivering the quality optics that high-speed downhilling demands. Both goggles are designed for compatibility with today’s full face helmets.
All goggles in the 2011 line feature 100% UV protection and have been designed to fit properly and comfortably with full face helmets.
