Schoeller Announces Eleanor Sachs to Handle U.S. Communications Efforts

SEVELEN, Switzerland/NEWBURYPORT, Mass. – Schoeller Textil AG, the global textile solutions brand dedicated to innovating technical fabrics and smart textile finishing technologies for more than 140 years, announces that Eleanor Sachs will take on the role as communications director for Schoeller USA, effective immediately.

Sachs will report directly to Stephen Kerns, president of Schoeller USA, based in Newburyport, Mass. An independent public relations executive, Sachs brings more than 20 years of diverse experience serving such clients as adidas Outdoor, Avalanche, Canada Goose, J.Jill, PrimaLoft, Tecovas and W.L. Gore & Associates, among others, while managing her agency Virtu Media, and while working at Weber Shandwick Worldwide and CGPR, a boutique PR agency outside of Boston.

“Eleanor’s deep understanding of the active lifestyle, fashion and outdoor categories, as well as the fine art of comprehending, messaging and promoting a component brand such as Schoeller really positions her as a perfect partner for moving the brand forward in the U.S.,” said Kerns. “She is widely respected among trade and consumer media alike, and we look forward to having her represent Schoeller and share our story.”

In her role as communications director, Sachs will support PR, social media and marketing efforts for Schoeller’s Textile and Technology offerings in the U.S., working closely with the marketing and PR team at Schoeller’s headquarters in Sevelen, Switzerland.

When not behind her desk, Sachs loves to enjoy the New England outdoors with her husband and two children, as well as new puppy.
