Cool wool and impressive comfort

June 2014: The borders between outdoor and fashion are increasingly blurred. Embossed structures on supple soft-shells, and jeans prints on functional cotton fabrics, provide a new look. Cool fabrics keep summer wool jerseys pleasantly cool in summer 2016, and washable summer wool jerseys are a super upgrade for light jacket qualities. The crux: The wearer feels more comfortable and always looks good in every season.

UNIVERSAL COMFORT

Comfort is the primary consideration in summer 2016. Whether in the mountains, playing golf, or in the city; feeling good in elegant functional textiles produced in Switzerland is the name of the game. The range of abrasion resistant, permanently elastic schoeller®-dryskin double fabrics extends from ultra-light soft-shells to dense, compact versions in intensive, sporty colors or sophisticated classics. On the inner side of the jacket or pants fabrics, a functional layer always ensures speedy moisture transport. Additional abrasion protection in exposed areas is provided by the structured, elastic schoeller®-dynamic rip-stops. These are perfectly matched to the supersoft, light e2 check prints shirt qualities with active>silverTM freshness finish. The various print designs on polyester knitted fabrics look just as good worn on the summit as while enjoying happy hour.

STRUCTURED OPTICS

Various structures allow the pleasantly soft, bonded schoeller®-WB-400 summer qualities to make a completely new statement. Embossed with an oval honeycomb structure on smooth outer fabrics, or as an irregular, wood-bark look or in a neoprene look with squares for trims and inserts; these stretch fabrics impress with their breathability, extreme durability, water and dirt repelling properties and ease of care.

Inspiration for experimental hybrid ideas is also offered by unusual schoeller®-spirit spacer fabrics in vibrant colors and different three-dimensional looks, which make an exciting impact as inserts or lining.

COOL FABRICS

Cool down, even when things heat up in summer 2016 with the new Cool Fabrics from Schoeller. They feel tangibly cooler and protect the wearer from overheating. The functional micro-coating on the reverse of the Cool Fabrics actively balances out body temperature, thus generating a pleasantly cool comfort-climate which, in turn, positively affects performance capacity. Cool Fabrics are available as sporty-elegant schoeller®-dryskin double fabrics, bonded and light schoeller®-WB-400 summer soft- shells with diverse backing, bi-elastic schoeller®-shape golf pants weight cotton fabrics, sophisticated jacket qualities with silk, and especially-fine schoeller®-spirit down-proof qualities.

SUMMER WOOL

Sportswear is becoming more fashionable and function is relentlessly making its way into the world of fashion. Multi-functionality is the magic term, seen here in combination with sophisticated, washable summer wool. The light, highly-breathable schoeller®-WB-400 soft-shells with soft wool jersey backing and smooth outer side in colors like full-bodied petrol or aubergine offer sufficient protection during a light summer shower, when trekking, or on the piazza. The light schoeller®-naturetec wool blend fabrics with additional functions in vibrant shades of blue, green, or red also offer shelter from a light seasonal rain. Here, the addition of NanoSphere® technology or the fluorocarbon-free ecorepel® lend permanent, reliable water and dirt repellence.

JEANS PRINTS

Exciting new looks are also created by various jeans prints on water repellent, bi-elastic schoeller®-naturetec cotton-polyamide qualities for jackets and pants. The dark, denim-like print produces a stylish vintage-leather look. The washed-out denim print in shades of green or blue creates an “aquatic camouflage” without negatively impacting the environment through an elaborate washing-out process. Perfectly matched to the urban technical trend are the two schoeller®-shape jacket fabrics with c_changeTM climate membrane. Either in a natural denim look with color-contrasting lining in vibrant yellow, blue or green or as a linen-polyester blend with a classic glen check print.

Stretch fabrics from Schoeller Textil AG
