Sea to Summit's 25th Anniversary event to celebrate the first 'sea to summit' ascent of Mt Everest

Tim Macartney-Snape, Australian mountaineering legend and co-founder of the outdoor gear brand Sea to Summit, will be traveling to Boulder to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his “sea to summit” expedition. Tim will be at Neptune Mountaineering on Thursday August 13th presenting a stunning slide-show about his historic “Sea to Summit” expedition; “Himalayan dreaming – from the land of the dreamtime to the realm of sacred snows”.
“A quarter-century ago Tim Macartney-Snape realized that the truest climb of Everest had never been done – not if one considers the geographical start of a mountain to be the shoreline of the continent on which it rises”, says Greg Child, fellow Australian and climbing legend in his own right. “This first-ever total-ascent of the world’s tallest mountain was a journey through cultures and landscape, an adventurous oxygen-less solo climb, and a historic addition to Everest climbing history.”
