SEATTLE, Wash. – SealLine, the global leader in portable gear protection for challenging environments, announced today the sale of the SealLine SmartTrack Rudder Control System to Smart Track LLC, an Illinois corporation.

Originally created by SealLine in 2001, the award-winning SmartTrack Control System is an advanced foot brace and rudder system for sea kayaks.
As the outdoor market leader in gear protection for 20 years, SealLine continues to manufacture dry bags and accessories for rafting, canoeing and paddle sports in its Seattle manufacturing plant. However, the brand has also expanded its line for multi-purpose use and recently announced a new Urban line, featuring all PVC-free products for the city dweller and commuter, due out in January 2007.
“The SmartTrack System is hands down the best one on the market. There was a very talented team behind the invention of it,†said Erik Flink, SealLine Brand Manager. “But as we build on our product successes in gear protection and continue to expand to meet customer demand, the system is increasingly outside of our realm both brand-wise and on the manufacturing floor.
